For a friend

Ok, cards are not one of my craft strengths... I wanted to create one for a friend but instead of that the result has been more a mini layout than a card. It measures nearly 7x7!

I've used some WOC and IAR flowers. They have been distressed with walnut stain TH ink.
The bird is a stamp from a bird set (Martha Stewart) that my friend Emma sent to me. I stamped it, painted with LSG products and then "fussy" cut out. It's adhered onto the paper with foam dots, the same as the diecut frame. Sentiment has been black embossed. To give a more aged look to the paper it has been sprayed with LSG choc truffle and though hardly aprecciated, there are gold ink stamped butterflies at the back ground. Chipboard swirls (Dusty Attic) under the flowers and the paper butterflies are distressed also.

Thanks for reading!

Another card for a friend

This card was pretty easy to make but I love the result. Papers used here are from Sweetness collection by Pink Paislee.
As a big background I used yellow cardstock which I distressed with Aged Mahogany. Then I layered (with foam dots) a square of printed paper and then another one (also with foam dots) on the top of it. I cut out the form of this one from a diecut I bought a while ago.
The title / journaling are from K&Company and the flowers from IAmRoses. Everything has been distressed and has stickles on.
The butterflies are rub-ons.... I'm really loving using them... so versatile!

Thanks for reading! :D

Card for a friend

I made this card for a friend. I bought the diecut shape a while ago and used it as a pattern. The paper is from Pink Paislee, the Sweetness collection. It's glued down with foam dots so it has volume.
Then I added a ribbon with a sentiment about friendship nearly at the bottom. The butterfly has been glimmer misted with caribbean blue and marshmallow colours and embellished with a few rhinestones too.
At the top left, a cute sticker glued onto a thick chipboard piece. Also I added two tiny blue roses, one sparkly, the other not.

All the borders have been lightly distressed with vintage photo.

Thanks for reading! :D

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #101 (MMSC101)

Hi! This is my entry for this week challenge :D

Instead of printed images I used pics of my children so I can use as a card to give to my mother-in-law for Mother's Day (this Sunday here in Australia).

The sentiment will be written at the back.

A Friendship Card

I made this card using the Gypsy Market paper collection by 7Gypsies and was inspired by a sketch I saw at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #75 (MMSC75) and I liked. The orange flower is a chipboard flower I bought and then I added a "blingy" brad. The "friends" word has been popped up and then added gold stickles.

A "Thank you" card

I'm not a huge fan of making cards but I have to do a "thank you" one for a scrappy friend. After a while, this is the result. I used scraps from my stash for the background. The lollipop flower is handmade by me combining lace and satin. The brad in the centre is from Kaisercraft. I made also the stick pin and I incorporated in it a butterfly charm. Thanks for reading! :D
